CASSIUS&Co. announces its next exhibition, Kathy MacCarthy: A Moment to Play, opening on Thursday 26th November 2026. This special presentation of sculptures and drawings will be the artist’s first solo exhibition in a commercial gallery, after more than forty years of making.

Kathy MacCarthy (b. 1956?, Birkenhead) received an MA in Sculpture from the Royal Academy of Arts in 1983 and has since spent her life in art institutions, running education programmes at the Whitechapel Gallery and Camden Arts Centre, lecturing at Central Saint Martins and other universities, while raising four boys and continuing to produce her own work largely in private. The joyous, even riotous, menagerie of objects presented in this exhibition are the fruits of all those years of practice, and the games they play with form and surface, with domesticity and industry, with the body and the landscape, are testament to an irrepressible creativity, a mastery of abstraction, and even more, one that can’t help but make you smile.

Please email fb@cassiusandco.com if you would like to receive a digital preview and/ or a printed copy of the exhibition’s catalogue.
