Pristine copy of this limited edition, 131 of 300 numbered copies, signed by the author. No dust jacket as issued, with the cover presenting a monster emblem designed by Thompson. The volume contains three short stories: ‘Mescalito’, about the author’s first mescaline trip, ‘Death of a Poet’ and the titular ‘Screwjack’, a weird and not unpoignant love story. Published by Neville, Santa Barbara, in 1991, this was Thompson’s first work produced in a limited collector’s edition.
