Excellent copy of J. P. Donleavy’s classic debut novel, published in 1955 by the legendary Olympia Press. Issued in this format, the book appeared alongside the mostly pornographic novels of the Traveller’s Companion series, much to the author’s chagrin, who had intended the book as a serious if somewhat debauched work of art. This led to decades of lawsuits between the writer and publishing house. Scarce in such Fine condition with the price uncanceled at the back.
