The Interpretation of Dreams by Sigmund Freud

First English edition of Freud’s masterpiece, a work which alone can be said to have launched the idea of psychoanalysis as a field of study and containing all of Freud’s most famous ideas, including the Oedipus complex, the erotics of dreaming and much more. Translated by A. A. Brill, who himself became the first practicing psychoanalyst on the US, published by Macmillan in 1913 simultaneously in the US and Britain (this is the US issue). This is an uncommonly nice copy, the spine a little sunned but the gilt lettering still bright, overall an excellent edition.
